Sirius Veg Spring Roll 1kg
Sirius Veg spring rolls are a popular, crispy Chinese snack filled with a savory mix of stir-fried vegetables like cabbage, carrots, and bell peppers. They are a versatile appetizer that can be deep-fried, baked, or air-fried and are commonly served with dipping sauces like sweet chili sauce or ketchup.
a popular, flavorful frozen snack or meal component, featuring shredded or minced chicken mixed with spices and veggies (like cabbage, carrots, spring onions) in a crispy wrapper, often available from brands like Sirius Foods, ready to fry for a quick, savoury bite, popular in India.
Key Characteristics:
- Brand: Often associated with Sirius Foods, a company specializing in frozen snacks.
- Ingredients: A savory filling of cooked chicken, fresh vegetables (cabbage, capsicum, carrots, spring onions), soy sauce, garlic, and Indian spices.
- Texture: Crispy on the outside from deep frying, with a juicy, flavorful interior.
- Convenience: Sold frozen as a ready-to-cook item, making it a fast snack or appetizer.
How to Enjoy (General Steps):
- Thaw: Let the frozen spring rolls come to room temperature as per package directions.
- Fill (if homemade): Place filling on a spring roll sheet, fold the sides in, and roll tightly, sealing with a cornflour-water paste.
- Fry: Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, or bake/air fry for a healthier option.
- Serve: Garnish with spring onions and serve hot with dips like chili sauce or a salad.
- Prepare the Filling:
- Heat oil in a wok or pan on high heat. Sauté aromatics like garlic and ginger for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped or shredded vegetables and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. The vegetables should remain crunchy, not soggy.
- Season with soy sauce, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat to cool completely.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Place a spring roll wrapper on a flat surface. (If using frozen wrappers, ensure they are thawed and kept under a damp cloth to prevent drying).
- Place a spoonful of the cooled vegetable filling near one corner.
- Fold the sides inward like an envelope, then roll the wrapper tightly around the filling.
- Apply the flour-and-water paste to the final edge to seal the roll securely.
